Everyone is promoting electric cars, but is it worth it?

A lot of people are promoting electric cars. It\’s not just the companies that make them, it\’s also ordinary people. A lot of people see a lot of advantages in something like this, but believe that something like this offers rather more disadvantages. For example, if a person doesn\’t have their own charger at home, they will have to drive their car to gas stations to charge it, where they may spend as much as an hour before the car gets charged. This is not the only disadvantage you may encounter with an electric car.

Another disadvantage is the quietness of this car. When a regular car is driving, you can hear it. But when an electric car is driving, you have no chance to hear it. There are many people who, even though they shouldn\’t, cross the road without looking to see if something is driving because they are betting on their hearing. With electric cars, however, you won\’t be able to rely on your hearing anymore because you could be very surprised.

Certainly the price of such a car can also be a big disadvantage for many. There are people who are happy to be able to afford a car under 100,000,- let alone an expensive electric car. As a result, more people would start taking public transport than driving because they won\’t be able to afford it. A lot of people might see something like this as a positive, because there will be fewer cars on the road and they will get to where they need to go faster, but for those who don\’t like to use public transport and find it better to drive, for example to work, because they don\’t even need to use public transport, it is best to drive. But if they can\’t afford it financially, it will be a problem.

Everybody can look at electric cars as they see fit, but it presents more disadvantages than advantages for society. Waiting for a car to recharge can waste an hour of one\’s life during which one could have been at home and spent time with one\’s family, for example.

It is also a question of how much more we will be paying for electricity over time. As prices rise, it is possible that electricity will end up being even more expensive than petrol and diesel combined, and at one litre.
