Compared to men, they have to endure more criticism. However, this criticism can strengthen them to such an extent that they become more resilient, and their businesses often thrive as a result. A survey examining where they thrive best, where they are most numerous, and how they are faring already has the answers.The study compared 58 countries, including the Czech Republic. The United States took the top three spots for the first time, followed by New Zealand and Canada. Since the survey is conducted every year, we also know the biggest climbers in women’s entrepreneurial activities. France takes the lead here, having moved up 22 spots; Indonesia, Costa Rica, and Taiwan also made significant leaps. Ireland rose seven spots, Russia six, and Thailand and Ghana five each.The study also examined which countries have the highest proportion of women among entrepreneurs. The result is quite remarkable—Uganda takes the top spot, followed by Ghana and Botswana. These figures show that entrepreneurial opportunities are not linked to a country’s market development. In these economically less developed countries, mothers are starting businesses to provide for their families.The Czech Republic ranked as low as 43rd. Here, women account for less than a quarter (22.4%) of entrepreneurs. It is still evident that women are not given enough space and remain at a disadvantage due to gender inequality.Women entrepreneurs achieve their greatest success in the small and medium-sized enterprise sector. Here, they can also take advantage of various support measures, such as educational programs and financial services. They are most active in independent and licensed trades. Leading the way are professional, scientific, and technical activities, followed by retail and wholesale. A large number of women are also concentrated in finance and insurance, health and social care, accommodation, food services, and education. The scope is therefore truly broad. Men, on the other hand, most often start craft businesses, which women rarely venture into. 5/5 - (1 vote) "},{"@context":"https://schema.org/","@type":"BreadcrumbList
@type":"ListItem
